Edible Sand

Josh has entered the stage of putting everything in his mouth.  I actually thought that we skipped over that phase of life, but I was wrong.

I am always searching for activities for us to do together and this was a great one. It was extremely easy to do.

Warning: your child may eat all the ingredients if you don’t move quickly.

The only thing that you really need to make the sand are froot loops.

We separated our loops into plastic bags.

We crushed the bags of loops with our hands and pinched them with our fingers.  This was a great sensory activity! Also a wonderful stress reliever.

After we had our fun we took a rolling-pin and smoothed out the rest.

I put them in mason jars for storage, but I think they look really cute.

Enjoy!  We had a blast.
