It is a yearly tradition that Josh and I get out there and plant some flowers and vegetables. Last year was our first year for vegetables and they were pretty funny looking. Our cucumbers looked like gourds. Our eggplants looked like golf balls. Our green peppers looked like chili peppers, and our cherry tomatoes well… they looked and tasted like cherry tomatoes. One out of Four’s not so bad.
This year I saw a fabric covered flower-pot, and I thought to myself, I can do that. The project took a different turn. I purchased 97 cents pots and some flowers. I soon discovered that fabric is not cheap. I had an ugly tanish-green piece of fabric lying around, so I had Josh finger paint the entire thing. I then sprayed the finished art piece with clear acrylic spray (3 times). I cut the fabric so it would fit around the pots and adhered it with modge pod. I’m not sure if these will last, but we had fun making them.
I love Springtime!
